For Your Art and Family Bookstore host a launch party tonight at Family at 7:30 pm for the new book Is it Art or Fart? The book collects images found on the street that bear uncanny resemblances to great works of contemporary art. “It began as a blog run by two friends whose obsessive preoccupation with contemporary art spilled over into the recognition of "fart" - bogus versions of art everywhere.” The party includes a slide show with commentary. Up first is The Tender Trap (1955) with Debbie Reynolds stars as a romantic interest of a womanizing socialite, played by Frank Sinatra. Holm plays a rival for Frank’s attention. Following is a newly restored print of All About Eve, where an ingénue outshines a veteran actress (played by Bette Davis’). Celeste Holm plays Bette’s pal in the film.
