Londoner-turned-New Yorker, Simon Spurr, started men’s clothing brand SPURR three years ago. Spurr, former designer for Calvin Klein, and Ralph Lauren’s esteemed Black and Purple labels, has created a high-end brand which is a fast rising star. With timeless design, and notably durable materials, it’s no wonder SPURR can regularly be found on the pages on GQ.

A tipster e-mail tells us... "My friend just called me from Beverly Hills and said that Barney's, Saks Fifth Ave and a few other high end stores are giving away full size bottles of expensive products due to a lawsuit against the makers of the products for over-charging customers. They walked away with full size bottles of Chanel, Armani and Clinique products! You don't have to buy anything to get the free stuff." LA shopping blog Blackburn and Sweetzer confirms this, finding that the lines on Monday--the first day of the free giveaways--were crazy. Expensive beauty products or a cup of free coffee, people just go nuts.

The Hunt For LA’s Most Expensive T-Shirt

I recall a point early in the Bush Administration where I overheard an in-the-know friend dub Los Angeles “home of the $1,000 t-shirt.” I then heard it a few more times. It made me curious. But not curious enough to seek the pinnacle of casual couture. If a four-digit price-tag could be found attached to a t-shirt, I thought it best be discovered by someone else.
