So what's next for Sam Hain, director of Star Trek: The Next Generation: A XXX Parody? Tonight, Hain will be seen on Last Call with Carson Daly in a pre-taped segment, talking about his love of sci-fi and its transformation into best-selling and critically-acclaimed adult movies.
On-Set: 'Star Trek: The Next Generation: A XXX Parody' (SFW), Part 4
XRCO Awards 2011: Red Carpet, Part 2
"It's one of the shows I actually enjoy attending," blogged Bobbi Starr. "There's no pretension there and people are there to have a good time. The fact that there's an awards show and that you might win a heart-shaped wooden trophy is a secondary, possibly tertiary, concern. The awards usually unwind like this: the assorted members of the porno-American community slowly make their way to the venue, hang out by the bar, become increasingly drunk and by the time the show starts, no one pays attention."
2010: The Adult Industry in Photos (SFW)
Thousands of miles, 12 set visits, 4 award shows, 2 conventions, 2 colleges, and 1 benefit.
Those were the statistics for LAist last year in covering the adult industry, headquartered in the San Fernando Valley.
Backstage @ FAME Awards, 7/10/10 (SFW)
Last weekend, the fifth annual Fans of Adult Media and Entertainment Awards, co-hosted by Jessica Drake and Sunny Leone, were held during the inaugural edition of eXXXotica Los Angeles at the LA Convention Center. If the AVN and XBIZ Awards are the Oscars and Golden Globes of the adult industry, the FAME Awards are the equivalent to the People's Choice Awards.
XBIZ Awards 2010: Red Carpet
As mentioned previously, earlier this month, local adult publication XBIZ held their eighth annual XBIZ Awards at Avalon in Hollywood. While the AVN Awards may be considered the Oscars of the adult industry, the XBIZ Awards should not be considered the equivalent of the Daytime Emmys as TMZ joked, but rather the Golden Globes, and as a result are still highly-coveted.
LAist Was There: 'This Ain't 'Star Trek' XXX #2' (SFW)
Yesterday, in a San Fernando Valley soundstage, director Axel Braun began production on Hustler Video's . While much of the cast have returned -- Evan Stone as Captain Kirk, Tony De Sergio as Spock, Cheyne Collins as Bones, Anthony Rosano as Scotty, and Jada Fire as Uhura -- Joey Brass appears as Chekov and Sulu has been recast with Keni Styles (so as Fleshbot pointed out, this is the one where Sulu finally gets laid!). The sequel also stars Kimberly Kane, Alexis Texas, Kagney Linn Karter, Madison Scott, Kiara Diane, and Joel Lawrence, and is set for release later this year.
