TV Junkie: "A Christmas Story"; "Battlestar" Finale; Stern, Whitaker, and Nas on Kimmel; Sly Stallone on Conan
Last Night Summary: So 50 Cent cancelled his appearance on Conan a couple hours before the show because he felt he was coming down with a cold? Stern and Gaffigan were good as usual on Conan. Also: "The Office" was fantastic; I was amazed at how long Colbert allowed his druggie guest to ramble; kid scientists on Letterman were typically cute and funny and I'm hoping for a new set of stupid human tricks...
Friendly Fire, Part Two
After listening to the music and watching the accompanying videos from Sean Lennon's second full length at the Egyptian Theater, where he described watching the film to an enthusiastic audience made up of much of the cast and crew as "really fucking fun."
Basically Furious, Yet Friendly
Instead of being looked at as the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, famous for being famous like so many other celebrity kin, Sean Lennon has taken his birthright and talent passed on to him, and has used them to his advantage. Eight years after releasing 1998's , he's written yet another album which allows you to enter the world of Sean Lennon, not the world of Sean Lennon, John and Yoko’s son.
Films This Week(end)
If you hit boredom this weekend, maybe a movie about overcoming boredom will suit the bill. Duck Season is a Mexican indie comedy where the XBOX breaks, the neighbor girl comes over to bake, and the pizza boy won’t leave (we wouldn’t pay a 30 minute delivery guarantee if it were 11 seconds late either!). Duck Season plays at the Laemmle’s Sunset 5, Monica 4, and the Playhouse 7 in Pasadena.
