Cole Whittle Gets All His Kicks at Pop tArt

After spending months on the road playing music for Lady Gaga's little monsters, musician and artist Cole Whittle finds himself in Los Angeles feeling inspired to create an installation to express his ideas of artistic anarchy. Curated by Lenora Claire his new show opening at Pop tArt gallery tonight entitled All the Kicks. The exhibit, that will be on view next to Austin Young's Your Face Here, features multi-media work by Whittle. After he opens this aggressive new show (look for many images of him giving the finger), Whittle heads out on tour playing bass for Semi Precious Weapons on the Lady Gaga tour. Tonight: Tim Biskup + MFG = I Hate Everyone But You

Longtime friends and Los Angeles locals, fine artist Tim Biskup and graphic designer/event promoter Matt Goldman (aka MFG), team up together to bring us "I Hate Everyone But You", a collection of new and past work. Tonight marks the opening reception, with DJ Dirty Dave and DJ Alphabeast spinning all sorts of ridiculous, plus Colt 45 and Red Bell shucking out complimentary drinks. The whole thing goes down from 7-9 pm at De La Barracuda on Melrose. Earlier this year, Shepard Fairey's design agency, Studio Number One, his company Obey Giant Art Inc. and his gallery co-owned with his wife, Subliminal Projects, moved operations into Echo Park on Sunset Blvd. (see the photos of them putting up huge Obama posters here).
