L.A. in the past has seen a food truck go brick and mortar, but this weekend a popular event gets a turn. Sonja Rasula's Unique LA has always been a widely-attended seasonal show where shoppers can find a plethora of local and U.S. independent design and gift vendors (get a taste of what is sold in this photo essay), so why not try something a little more full time? Furniture store H.D. Buttercup offered Rasula a more permanent home for Unique LA. And fashion consulting company Apartment 3, once a store on La Brea, also was asked to join. more ›

Shopping while under the influence? Hmmm. You can do that tonight, if you wish -- as long you don't add driving to the equation. Apartment 3 sets up shop at the Tropicana Bar and Pool at the Roosevelt Hotel. Featured designers include Anzevino & Florence, Evil Genius and Anna Selena.
