Streets will be closed off in Downtown L.A. Monday evening to accommodate a march being held in order to raise awareness about and show support for the Justice for Trayvon Martin movement via a "Million Hoodie March" event.

Around one hundred people, including eight veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, this afternoon have gathered outside a military recruitment center in Hollywood to protest. "We're really here to say, on this ninth anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan, that the U.S. should end the war right now," explained Ian Thompson, a coordinator with the Answer L.A. Coalition. "We wanted to show that there are still people against this war and we think the numbers are growing."
Large Pro-Palestinian March Planned for Tomorrow
ANSWER LA will be holding a march tomorrow, partially on Wilshire Blvd., that will wrap around Westwood Village streets and stage at the Federal Building. Let GAZA Live, as they are calling it, is part of a larger National Day of Protest with other events planned throughout Southern California.

Saturday's Anti-War March in Hollywood, organized by the ANSWER Coalition was amazing (their acronym stands for Act Now to Stop War and End Racism). Thousands walked down Hollywood Blvd, down Schrader, then onto Sunset, eventually ending in front of the CNN building.
