Tonight Anaheim-based ska-infused pop outfit No Doubt will be headlining the Gibson Amphitheatre twice and the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater twice with Grammy-nominated pop punk outfit Paramore and Swedish new wave rockers the Sounds in tow. Legendary English heavy metal outfit Judas Priest are poised to rock the Gibson Amphitheatre. And, lastly, LAist favorites Ancestors will be performing at the Smell. But we strongly suggest heading over to Amoeba Music to catch Los Angeles' own "Ambassador of Boogie Funk," Culver City-based DJ/selector DâM-FunK, who will be kicking off the first day of the month-long series Stones Throw Sundays.

Tonight NY-based indie rockers the Walkmen will be performing at the Henry Fonda Music Box with Baltimore's lugubrious duo Beach House. LA's own indie pop duo Castledoor (LAist Review, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6) is playing at the Echoplex for this week's edition of Check One, Twosday, which is still being sponsored by the now-defunct radio station Indie 103.1. Sean Carlson (of the Fuck Yeah Fest) is throwing a psych rock frenzy at the Smell, including performances by Long Beach-based Crystal Antlers and Ancestors. And, lastly, the one-woman army, otherwise known as Theresa Andersson (LAist Interview, Review), will be gracing the Hotel Café. But we strongly suggest checking into Spaceland, where Hawaiian-born singer-songwriter Sara Lov will be stopping through for the penultimate date of her month-long residency. LAist favorite Willoughby (LAist Review, #2) is slated to open.

It's been a long time since EARLY MAN did that sold out show at Spaceland in Feb. 06. But the early boys are back, and they expect Los Angeles to prove their worth in metal pride. That means come out, get wild, and show the boys why they need to visit LA more often. And if you haven't heard of EARLY MAN, let's just say they are a couple of shredders who hail from the school of Motörhead, Judas Priest, and Mercyful Fate.
