TV Junkie: Letting The 'Mad Men' Pot Simmer Down

TV Junkie: Must-Watch 'Terriers' Season Finale; 'Walking Dead' Producer Fires All Writers; Late Night Rocks

TV Junkie: Must-Watch 'Terriers' Season Finale; 'Walking Dead' Producer Fires All Writers; Late Night Rocks

Tonight marks the season finale of "Terriers" on FX at 10pm. We hope that the gods of Truth in Artistry make this the end of the first season and not the series. This is a great show, well written, and superbly performed - it just hasn't found it's audience yet, in this, it's first season. In the past we've pointed out that FX has bungled the marketing of the show and that a retooled campaign would help the show, something that they would do at the beginning of the second season. more ›

TV Junkie: 'Rubicon' Cancelled, 'Running Wilde' Likely Doomed; 'Bored To Death' Finale

TV Junkie: 'Rubicon' Cancelled, 'Running Wilde' Likely Doomed; 'Bored To Death' Finale

Fox has pulled "Running Wilde" from it's line up with a possible return of the show on November 30th - it's a shame that a show with this much talent can't find it's sea legs. There's been a lot of supposition that the network has been fiddling with the show from the beginning, so how can you fix a show that the network broke? A better questions is: why would they be bringing it back? We love Will Arnett and David Cross and hope to see them in something that isn't screwed from the get-go. more ›

TV Junkie: Interview with Sarah Wayne Callies from 'The Walking Dead'

TV Junkie: Interview with Sarah Wayne Callies from 'The Walking Dead'

Last Sunday AMC's "The Walking Dead" opened to both critical and popular acclaim and scored as AMC's most-viewed premiere in the history of the network. If you read our interview last week with Jon Bernthal, who plays Shane, you got some great insight into the show about the survivors of a zombie infestation. We learned that this show is less about death-by-zombie and more about personal relationships, compassion, and the desperate need to hold onto ethics and morality even no matter what the environment presents us with. more ›

TV Junkie: 'The Walking Dead' - Interview with Jon Bernthal

TV Junkie: 'The Walking Dead' - Interview with Jon Bernthal

One of the most stupid headlines we've seen over the last few months is "Are Zombies The New Vampires?" The answer is: no, they're not. Nobody wants to fuck a zombie, something that perpetually bedevils Randall Skeffington from Comedy Central's "Ugly Americans". There's no reasoning with zombies, therefore no foreplay, etc. more ›

TV Junkie: 'Rally To Restore Sanity' on Sat. from 9am-Noon; 'The Walking Dead' Premieres Sunday

Have a great Halloween weekend everyone. Tonight's highlights are former President Jimmy Carter and Zach Galifianakis on Bill Maher, more "Dead Set", and Jason Segel and Alison Brie on Ferguson. Saturday don't forget to either go to the "Sanity Rally" downtown or watch it live on Comedy Central from 9am to Noon! TCM has some great horror movies and we've highlighted a couple and we have "SNL" with Jon Hamm. Sunday we are madly anticipating the debut of AMC's "The Walking Dead" and thank goodness there is a rescreening of "Bored To Death" to watch after that. more ›

TV Junkie: 'Dead Set' Zombies Walk at Midnight

TV Junkie: 'Dead Set' Zombies Walk at Midnight

The zombie battle begins tonight with the premiere of IFC's "Dead Set" at Midnight and will be running all week. This is an American airing of a series that has the classic combination of horror and humor and puts it on the set of "Big Brother UK". Where would the safest place on earth be during an onslaught of zombies other than the closed, locked-down set of a reality TV show? The effects are the best we've seen from the UK and it's very gory. Later this week we'll go into more detail as to whether or not it's "better" than AMC's upcoming "The Walking Dead" - they're two very different animals in some respects. Check out the promo clips at the end of this post. more ›
