Tonight NY-based punk rockers H2O will be headlining the Roxy with special appearances by Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio and Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory. San Franciscan retro 80s-infused post-punk outfit the Soft Moon are poised to grace the Echo for this week's edition of Part Time Punks.
But we strongly suggest doing whatever it takes to get into the Music Box at the Henry Fonda Theater to catch Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Cat Power. LAist favorites, local indie rockers Demo Team are slated to kick things off.

Tonight In Rock: Alkaline Trio, The Watson Twins, Cold Cave, Ernest Gonzales
Tonight Chicago-based pop punk outfit Alkaline Trio will be headlining the House of Blues Sunset in Hollyweird with Omaha-based indie rockers Cursive in tow. Local country-infused folk, twin-sister duo the Watson Twins (LAist Review, #2) are poised to grace the Bootleg Theater with none other than Long Beach's own pop songstress (and general lass) Jessica Dobson—otherwise known as Deep Sea Diver (LAist Review). And, lastly, the City of Brotherly Love's own experimental synth-pop outfit Cold Cave will be taking on the Glass House in Pomona with Chicago-bred garage rock outfit Smith Westerns, local lo-fi pop act Best Coast and Long Beach/Los Alamitos natives and recent Sub Pop signees Avi Buffalo (LAist Interview, Review). But we strongly suggest heading over to the Airliner in Lincoln Heights to catch Texan experimental electronic guru Ernest Gonzales, who will be performing for this week's edition of Low End Theory.

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here together in the sight of Rock and in the face of Roll, to join together you, dear LAist reader, and this New Music Tuesday in holy Matrimony. This mystical union is not to be entered into lightly, or unadvisedly, but reverently, discreetly, advisedly, soberly (ha), and in the fear of the reaper. More cowbell. L'chaim.
