Your 2012 Guide to Record Store Day in L.A.
Since 2008, every third Saturday in April has been known worldwide as Record Store Day. The fifth-annual Record Store Day, a celebration of record store culture and its community, will take place on April 21, and various independently-owned record stores across L.A. are hosting all-day parties featuring performances, DJs, giveaways, prizes, and other fun stuff.

This Square Is Woody Guthrie's: Downtown L.A. Intersection Dedicated to the Folk Musician Today
Singer-songwriter-musician Woody Guthrie will be honored today with his very own Downtown Los Angeles intersection at Fourth and Main Streets. The intersection will be known as Woody Guthrie Square. Councilwoman Jan Perry, Guthrie's relatives and Grammy Museum representatives will gather today at 10am for a dedication ceremony in connection with the city's eight-day centennial celebration of the late folk singer's birth.
