Two fairly large, but non-deadly crashes in the Valley, first on the southbound 405 in Sherman Oaks, ">then on the westbound 101 in Tarzana, snarled morning commuters today. Needless to say, traffic backed up to the 101/405 interchange which is the busiest freeway interchange in the United States. This brings up the question: where are the alternative options to traverse the 8.5 mile Sepulveda Pass between the Valley and metropolitan Los Angeles? There are currently......

A new blog has appeared on the blogLAsphere called ditch the car, take the metro and blogger, John, has created, revised and tweaked his idea on LA's future subway transit. "My LA subway plan is based upon latent but unrealized relationships that organize Los Angeles," he explains in an early post. Keep updated on this map as the day goes by, check the traffic before leaving work by clicking here. It looks as if all of LA is running smoothly right now. That's because it's lunchtime, not crunch time. If you didn't take the 405 this morning, then you were spared some extra special traffic caused by some unfortunate events:Most lanes of the 405 at La Tijera Boulevard are closed this morning after the 4:45......

Did you notice anything different on your commute through the Valley at the 405/101 interchange yesterday? Was it faster, smoother, safer or none of the above? In any case, it should have been after 2 years and $46-million. This is what they did: Widened the northbound freeway in the area to six lanes Added an onramp from Sepulveda Boulevard to the northbound 405 The Sepulveda onramps to the 101 freeway were reconfigured At yesterday's......

For the next hour, all different forms of sex were had. I started out on top, slowly gliding, eventually moving behind her, where I took hold of that glorious ass that a super model will never have, but a size all women should be comfortable with and proud of. There was even some scissor sexing, 69ing, a bit of The Monkey and we even Crushed some Spice. Then, it started to get weird. Now, I have nothing wrong with post-coital snuggling. Sometimes it can be grating, but sometimes it can be nice to cozy up with someone with whom you just shared a great fuck. ...

He stood his ground and fought for his strip club in La Habra. Then the......

With one-third of the worst freeway junctions in this land o' freedom according to Forbes Magazine, somehow, this city still runs. It must be due to the fact that Los Angeles is economically successful: that is, if we go by the theory of economist Anthony Downs who said in the Washington Post that more economic activity equals more cars and more driving. He continues to say that "congestion will remain a fact of life......

I knew he'd caught me. It was the first time in a long while that the 405 had been wide open and I was taking full advantage of that delicious opportunity. A few minutes into driving way too fast, I spotted the black and white in my rear view and knew my happiness would be short lived. But then...he moved into another lane! As he drove past me, I noticed the words "Movie Car"......

In L.A., even some palms decide to go through plastic surgery. The City will not be planting anymore palm trees, but not to fear -- developers and cell phone companies are all about it. Still, our favorite is the fake pine tree in the Sepulveda Pass along the 405.......

In an unexpected change of heart and funding at Metro, this past week has shown us public transportation can get an edge in LA. After announcing the LAX Green Line extension and the promised completion of the Subway to the Sea by 2011, Metro will announce next Friday night the Red Line Owl Service. With only 15-minute headways throughout the night, drunkards can stumble to their car in North Hollywood rather than at the Hollywood/Highland......

What would get traffic moving faster at the Valley's busiest intersection of Ventura and Sepulveda (or shall we say the nation's busiest freeway intersection of the 101/405)? 1. Finishing 101/405 interchange construction for once and for all? 2. Limiting construction hours to 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., therefore extending construction by months. The LA Daily News reports that the delay of the Northbound 405 on-ramp at Greenleaf St. in Sherman Oaks (just south of Ventura......

J'aime Oberlander is a Castaic native and a commuting UCLA senior, which is a not so small demographic. A product of home-schooling, she became aware of her social ineptitude in high school. This interviewer is happy to report that she's obviously gotten passed that. Her first name is "J'aime", French for "I love"; her second name is "Rachel", which is biblical Hebrew for "lamb of God". When put together the names state, "I love......

There's nothing new about crashing your car in LA. But this video taken on the 405 South last Spring in the Valley is a must see.
