But in June 1990, U.S. district court Judge Jose Gonzalez ruled 2 Live Crew's album As Nasty As They Wanna Be obscene and illegal to sell. Tonight legendary Miami-based hip hop group 2 Live Crew will be performing at the Key Club in Hollywood. Hermosa Beach's own punk rockers Pennywise are poised to headline Club Nokia in Downtown with Kailua Kona-based rock-reggae act Pepper in tow. And, lastly, local singer-songwriter Meiko will be making a relatively last minute appearance at the Hotel Café alongside Butterfly Boucher and Carina Round. But we strongly suggest heading over to Largo at the Coronet for Watkins Family Hour (LAist Review).
