“Which one is she again?”
If you’re not an avid watcher of The Hills, the semi-scripted, LA-based reality show in which early twenty-somethings live out the decadence we never had, you may find yourself asking such a question about fringe character Lo Bosworth. She’s not the one stealing your boyfriend, leaking rumors to Perez Hilton or squeaking out a pop record. She hiding cleverly behind the others, making snide comments about their foolish choices while graduating from college and making something of her semi-famous life. Fling Chocolate, an 80-calorie girly treat that’s only available in California (go figure), seems to think Lo is the perfect face for their naughty but nice image, awarding her the title of this year's “Best Fling.”.

- Seattlest enjoyed the songs and F-bombs of the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia live show.

Will Hometown Heavyweight Become World Champion Tonight?
Name the last boxer of Mexican descent to hold the heavyweight title.
Go ahead. Do you give up? You can't name one, can you?
That's because there's never been one.
It's shocking that the rich tradition of Mexican fighters has never produced a heavyweight champion. Tonight that all can change when Riverside's own Chris "The Nightmare" Arreola challenges WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko at the Staples Center.

Found in LA: Dolly Go Sleep Now
Another winner from the world of retail. This little tableau comes courtesy of the toy section in the local Target store.
Children are so imaginative. They just do the most adorable things.
But I think a child psychologist might find this scene interesting during their role playing.
Did some little girl read Hansel and Gretel one too many times? Is the dolly the evil witch?
Or is it a scene straight out of suburbia? Daddy doll ran off with his secretary doll.
Mommy doll has run out of her little yellow doll pills

Found in LA: What Part of "Out of Service" Do You Not Understand?
"OUT OF SERVICE" was also spray-painted by hand all over the side windows. They really meant it. It must still be an official vehicle. I mean, before they would re-sell a sheriff's vehicle, wouldn't they do a little more than that? Maybe it was the most ingenius car thief ever. He could just spray-paint "NOT A STOLEN CAR" and hey, no questions asked.
Seven Questions: David Cross
David Cross has made audiences laugh their asses of on stage with his brilliant and vicious style of stand-up, on television in his incredibly funny work on "Arrested Development" as never nude analrapist Tobias Funke and as one-half of the team that gave us the hilarious HBO sketch comedy show "Mr. Show with Bob and David," on CD with is Grammy nominated Shut Up You Fucking Baby! and on the big screen. Now, David brings his brand of humor to the written form with his first book, I Drink for a Reason.

Found in LA: They Have a Cream for that Now
Your dream has come true. You finally meet that special guy.
It's the third date. Time to seal the deal. He takes you out for a fancy dinner, or maybe he even cooks for you. Maybe a walk under the moonlight, or along the beach.
He takes you back to his place. Soft music low on the stereo, a bottle of wine.
The making out is hot and heavy. You look deep into his eyes. This could be the one.
You both stumble, undressing into the bedroom. And then you get a good look at the sheets.

Found in LA: Jerry Seinfeld Loves Mozza and the Paparazzi
Last night we couldn't get to the valet parking stand outside of Mozza because there were paparazzi all over the place. Naturally I jumped out of the car and joined them.

Week Around the Ists
- Chicagoist scoped out the spectacle, the crowds, and the madness surrounding Oprah's 24th season premiere, which shut down a stretch of the famed Magnificent Mile (aka Michigan Ave) and sent some residents and city officials into a tizzy.
- Gothamist had mixed feelings about a video showing a would-be bicycle thief getting a serious beatdown from the bike's owner and his friends—the lesson is: Do not steal bikes, bro!
- DCist captured images of the 22 "ghost bikes," bicycles that are painted white as a memorial to cyclists who have been killed while riding, that were placed by an activist around the same intersection where a previous "ghost bike" was recently removed by the city.

Photos: The Santa Monica Pier
To go along with our wordy look at the 100 years of history of the Santa Monica Pier, our LAist Featured Photos pool just happens to be brimming over with images of the iconic landmark that we couldn't keep to ourselves.
LAistory: The Santa Monica Pier
On September 9th, the Santa Monica Pier celebrated its Centennial. Fireworks lit up the sky and thousands of people gathered to honor a landmark that seems to be synonymous not only with Santa Monica, but with Los Angeles, and our love affair with having fun at the edge of the Pacific Ocean

Week Around the Ists
- Torontoist covered the aftermath of a horrifying cyclist-car confrontation—between a bike courier named Darcy Allan Sheppard and Ontario's former Attorney General Michael Bryant—that left Sheppard dead: they covered a mass memorial and mass ride for Sheppard that brought out hundreds of mourning cyclists, as well as tried to think about what change would be necessary to help prevent anything like it from happening again.
- Chicagoist played tourist in its own city by spending half an hour on the famed Michigan Ave (with magical results) and then scoped out the crumbling architecture of Gary and East Chicago, Indiana towns that stand in the shadow of Chicago.
- DCist asked whether the design of a new public library by famed British architect David Adjaye was ugly or not.

10 Reasons Why I Hate College Football
Today marks the first Saturday of the college football season. Millions across the country; especially here in the home of the #4 ranked USC Trojans and the recipient of seven votes in the AP Top 25 - UCLA Bruins, are excited to get the 2009 campaign kicked off. I, on the other hand, could couldn't care less.

Mount Wilson: Before The Fire And Brimstone
It's been a tough week for Mount Wilson -- though she's still standing. But let's remember the good times with this video.
