Photos: Hundreds In WeHo Celebrate Supreme Court Gay Marriage Ruling

West Hollywood, of course, was the host of a cheerful rally celebrating the Supreme Court decision that made same-sex marriage legal in all 50 states.

On Friday night, hundreds gathered in West Hollywood Park to celebrate the ruling. Almost seven years ago, it was the same site where a crowd mourned the passing of Prop. 8, which banned gay marriage in California. "That night they announced Obama first, and it was an intense joy, a high," Everlyn Hunter told the L.A. Times. "Not an hour later they announced Prop. 8. I was already crying when they announced Obama, but the tears changed."

Rainbow flags flew side by side with American flags in the WeHo park, as several local LGBTQ leaders and West Hollywood politicians addressed the crowd. Authorities say they expect another crowd tonight, though there is nothing planned.
