Volunteers Needed for Local Homelessness Counts

Cities in the Los Angeles metro area are preparing for counts of homeless individuals that will take place at the end of the month.
The City of Santa Monica, who will hold its annual count on the night of January 30, explained in a press release that counts help cities to understand fluctuating homeless populations, adjust public programs and services for the homeless, and raise public awareness of homeless issues.
Volunteers are still needed for counts in Long Beach and Santa Monica, as well as the massive Greater Los Angeles count headed by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA).

Long Beach Citywide Count of Homeless Persons
January 24
