Body Found in Trash Bin Is That of Missing OC Mom Allegedly Murdered By Millionaire Husband
The body of 46-year-old Quee "QC" Chadwick of Newport Beach was found Thursday afternoon in a trash bin in San Diego County. Officials identified the body as being Chadwick Friday, and an autopsy is pending to determine a cause of death, reports City News Service.Chadwick went missing on October 10; authorities were alerted to the situation when she did not pick up her three children from school. The following day, her husband, 48-year-old Peter Chadwick, was arrested near the U.S.-Mexico border, and ultimately charged with his wife's murder.
Peter Chadwick, who has ties to the real estate industry, is "worth millions," according to Orange County Deputy District Attorney Matt Murphy, who noted Chadwick was not working a "9-to-5 job" of late, and investigators were working to investigate his background.
Murphy says the Chadwicks were discussing a potential divorce.
The murder charge Chadwick faces includes a special circumstance allegation of killing for financial gain, making him eligible for the death penalty or life in prison without parole.
