LAst Night's Action: No Revenge for the Lakers against the Spurs
San Antonio Spurs defeat LA Lakers 121-97. No defense, no win. In Kobe Bryant's return after sitting out seven games with a shin injury, the Lakers supposedly bolstered defense was a sieve to the Spurs. Bryant had 18 points in his return while Andrew Bynum had 17 points and only two rebounds. In fact the Spurs out-rebounded the Lakers 42-29.
LA Dodgers defeat Houston Astros 3-1. In the first inning Matt Kemp hit yet another opposite field homer, his eighth overall in the season. Ted Lilly gave up a run on four hits and six walks in six innings in his win while Javy Guerra got his seventh save of the season.
LA Angels defeat Baltimore Orioles 6-3. The Angels have gotten a win in every series they played in, and so they get this one. Jerome Williams gave up all three runs on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings while his counterpart Brian Matusz continued to struggle giving up six runs, four earned in five innings. Jordan Walden got his first save of the season.
