LAst Night's Action: Angels Bullpen Chokes Again

Minnesota Twins defeat LA Angels 10-9. The Angels' offense has rounded into shape in Minnesota scoring 29 runs in the three-game series. This despite the fact that Albert Pujols is only batting .217. Nope, it's the bullpen that's the bugaboo for the Angels.
After getting out to a 6-0 lead in the fifth inning, Dan Haren gave back three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. However a bullpen should be able to hold a three-run lead, right? Don't tell that to the Angels. Kevin Jepsen and Scott Thompson combined to give up seven runs. The Angels managed two runs in the top of the ninth, but Chris Ianetta representing the tying run at the plate grounded out softly to end the game.
The sexy choice for the American League pennant, the Angels are 2-4 on this young season. Thankfully they play in Anaheim, not Boston or New York, so the panic hasn't started yet.
LA Dodgers defeat Pittsburgh Pirates 3-2. The Dodgers complete a series sweep of the Bucs thanks to a three-run first inning.
LA Clippers defeat Minnesota Timberwolves 95-82. With Kevin Love out of the lineup with a concussion, the Clippers finally were able to beat Minnesota. Blake Griffin's 19 points and 13 rebounds led the Clippers especially with his eight points in the fourth quarter. Caron Butler added 17 points going 5-of-8 from behind the arc. The bench was buoyed by Mo Williams' 14 points and Nick Young's 10.
