High School Teacher in OC Arrested on Charges of Sexual Contact with 14-Year-Old Student
A teacher in Orange County was arrested on Thursday on charges of having sexual contact with a 14-year-old female student, reports ABC News.
Joshua Alexander Evans, 32, was taken into custody after the girl's mother reported that the two had kissed on the mouth and embraced at another student's house. According to the OC Weekly, Evans, an English teacher at El Rancho Charter School in Anaheim Hills, allegedly "groomed the girl for a relationship beyond class" by texting and emailing her, and playing games with her on his cell phone.
Evans was arraigned today, and if found guilty, he could face up to three years and eight months in jail.
