LAst Night's Action: Lakers and Clippers Pull Out Wins
LA Lakers defeat Dallas Mavericks 96-91. The Lakers actually manage to win a game on the road pulling a victory out of the jaws of victory. Kobe Bryant only had 15 points on 4-for-15 shooting, but it was Derek Fisher’s season-high 15 points that helped fill that void. Pau Gasol added 24 points and Andrew Bynum had 19 points and 14 rebounds.
LA Clippers defeat Denver Nuggets 103-95 Avoiding their first three-game losing streak of the season, the Clippers head into the All Star Break leading the Pacific Division for the first time ever. Chris Paul had 36 points on 11-of-16 shooting with nine assists while Blake Griffin had 27 points and 12 rebounds. DeAndre Jordan also had a double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds.
Colorado Avalanche defeat LA Kings 4-1. Pathetic. Perhaps of all teams in the Los Angeles area in recent years, this is the most embarrassing and disappointing team in quite some time. This was a team that was supposed to make it to the Western Conference Finals. And here they are clearly regressing back into the cellar they called home for most of the 00’s. That’s okay though. The Dodgers first spring training game is in two weeks.
