Antigua Guatemala restaurant in Harbor City has been run by the Pineda family for 20 years. Recently, the family decided to help raise funds for a friend's funeral. Unfortunately, they helped raise funds for two thieves.

The heist was caught on tape via newly installed security cameras, and police are searching for the disrespectful duo. A man and a woman are shown stealing the clearly marked collection box from the restaurant counter. The Pinedas told CBS LA the fund had reached between $800 and $1,000.

The footage shows the woman distracting a restaurant employee while the man slyly picks up the box and places it on the floor. The man returns eight minutes later asking for change for a ten dollar bill, then circles the store, retrieves the box and exits the restaurant.

Ronnie Pineda "was in shock" after realizing the box was stolen. Police hope the bandits come forward.
