Zsa Zsa Gabor Embraces 95 With Star-Studded Birthday Bash
Zsa Zsa Gabor turns 95 today, and despite recent health woes, she's going all out and throwing a birthday party tonight at her estate.
Gabor invited friends and media to her soiree with a playful message. "Over the years I may have overlooked a year or two (or 20), but not this year," read the invitation, according to CBS LA. "I will no longer be ageless, it will be my...um...er, 95th birthday. (Boy that was tough)." The numbers were appropriately printed in very small type.
Nancy Reagan, Quincy Jones, Chubby Checker, Kirk Kerkorian and many other celebrities have RSVPed to the shindig, according to Gabor's spokesman.
It's been a rough year for the actress. She watched her 25th wedding anniversary party, thrown by husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, from her bed and has been in and out of the hospital, including a visit for spiked blood pressure following Elizabeth Taylor's death and other visits for leg amputations.
Zsa Zsa's celebration invites also show that she plans to stick around for years to come. "I love you and I hope to see you, but if you can't make it don't worry, I'm planning on celebrating more birthdays over the coming years with my true candle count, going all the way back to Woodrow Wilson's presidency, one of the few White House residents I never met," read the invite, according to Reuters.
Happy Birthday, Zsa Zsa. You are remarkably resilient.
