You Remember Rain, Right? Well, It's Gonna Fall on Us Tuesday!

Lest the past couple of weeks of summer-in-winter fool you, we are about to be beset with chilly, windy, wet weather more befitting of the actual season. A "wet weather pattern" is poised to develop over SoCal on Tuesday, says the National Weather Service, so your flip flops and short sleeves are getting a one day reprieve.

On Tuesday we can expect widespread "breezy" conditions, with stronger winds blowing up around Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. Temperatures should hit highs in the low 60s around the area. (You remember where you left your jacket, right? Brr!)

We will get light showers or drizzle early on Tuesday, then heavier rainfall as the system's cold front moves in from the northwest. The whole storm will hang around until late Tuesday evening, and should bring us about 3 to 8 hours of "moderate" rain.

  • I'd like to see numbers comparing the amount of rainfall this winter with years past. It seems like we haven't gotten anything close to the normal amount, and I'm wondering how this will affect fire season.

     Good point.
I, for one, am not looking forward to this fall because I have a feeling it will be pretty damn bad.
    I hope I'm wrong, but,.....
