"Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis is telling Madonna that she better not sing her new song "Girls Gone Wild" at the Superbowl this Sunday. Or else!

Madge got a cease-and-desist letter from the the soft core mogul, who is pissed that she's taking a "free ride on the valuable consumer goodwill and brand recognition" of Francis' trademark, according to TMZ.

It doesn't sound like Madge is necessarily planning on singing the song. She hasn't released her set list but CBS has a statement from the NFL saying, "Though Madonna's set list was not officially announced at press time, fans might expect her to give all her luvvin', provide a ray of light and be in vogue with her music. The Super Bowl is almost a national holiday, after all." We're guessing that she'll be performing "Gimme All Your Luvvin" off her new album (I mean, it even has a football-referencing video) with a bunch of her older stuff.

Francis is pissed that Madonna titled a song "Girls Gone Wild," but he's willing to cut a deal if she doesn't perform the song at the Superbowl. Francis' lawyers are giving her until the end of the day to respond, TMZ says.

  • I don't agree with Joe Francis i think she performed very well and give her best to the audience.

  • Joe Francis needs money pretty bad.

  • Won't matter because she won't actually sing it anything, it will all be lipsynched shit.

Didn't realize Madonna was still around.

Which begs the question - why is she?
