Burbank Police Investigate Baby Daycare Death
Police are currently investigating the death of an 11-month-old infant from Studio City.
The infant experienced breathing distress at a licensed daycare facility in Burbank on Wednesday, according to City News Service. Officers responded to the call from the facility, located in the 200 block of West Santa Anita Avenue, around 3:15pm. Paramedics attempted life-saving techniques and transported the infant to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Both the Burbank Police Department and the L.A. County coroner's office are investigating the death. An autopsy is pending.
Sgt. Jerry Misquez told The Times there did not appear to be evidence of foul play.
