Video: 'Shit LA Actors Say'

A few video variations of shit Angelenos say have entertained the Interwebs recently, and yet another version of the (possibly overdone) meme jabs at a very specific community within Los Angeles. Struggling L.A. actors, this "Shit X Say" is for you. You might appreciate (or want to defecate on) the video that portrays local actors begging Hollywood, "Make me a star!"

"Shit LA Actors Say," written by and starring Jeff Ellingson, pokes at actors sleeping with producers, shit-talking acting teachers, agents and casting directors, waiting tables, writing screenplays, gushing over (very) small parts, nailing auditions, scoring callbacks and many other sad industry habits. The video is apparently the first of future episodes.

As non-actors, we want to hear from those of you who are out there busting yours asses for your big break. Accurate? Another clichéd parody? Have any of you actually said, "If I was gay I'd be so famous right now"?

I thought i'd hate this. I dont hate this.

I think it works because the actor is willing to poke fun at himself and have fun with the parody.
Some other parodies (like the "shit people in LA say") seem to be done with a certain amount of spite, like they're trying to humiliate or "nail" someone, however slightly.

  • Very nice!
