World's Third-Tiniest Baby Will Be Going Home Tomorrow

Melinda Star Guido, one of the tiniest surviving babies in the world, will finally be going home tomorrow.
Guido was only 9.5 ounces and fit in the palm of her doctor's hand when she was born at LAC+USC Medical center in August at 24 weeks old. Her birthday was supposed to be December 15.
Now that Guido is four times as big as she was before, she's healthy enough to be going home with her parents and mom couldn't be happier: “I am so excited to finally have my baby come home. We have waited almost five months for this moment. It is so wonderful and we are ready to bring Melinda home," mother Haydee Ibarra said, in a statement from the hospital.
