Manhunt Continues For Real-Life Hamburglar
The bandit responsible for a series of fast food restaurant robberies in Los Angeles is still at large as police investigate the recent heists.
Between December 9, 2011 and January 7, 2012, a rash of armed fast food thefts occurred in the areas of Highland Park, Lincoln Heights and Cypress Park involving a lone gunman threatening employees with a handgun. Though he doesn't actually flee on foot with hamburgers or any other fast food eats, the bandit does demand dough from the cash register.
The suspect is described as a 24- to 27-year-old Hispanic male, 5'6" to 5'7" and 135 pounds with dark hair. LAPD says the robber wears a dark hoodie-type sweater with dark, baggy pants. Police have not released whether or not the suspect sports any black-and-white stripes, a black cape or a black mask.
