Street Closures for Sunday's '13.1 Los Angeles' Half-Marathon That Kicks Off in Venice
The 13.1 Los Angeles half-marathon kicks off tomorrow morning in Venice and heads south down to Playa Vista and loops back. The race kicks off at the Venice Boardwalk at Rose at 7 am tomorrow morning.
Because it doesn't cut through the city and major thoroughfares and sticks close to the coast, this half-marathon isn't as likely to be as intrusive as other big races in town, but we have the low-down on street closures should you plan to head to the coast on Sunday.
Here is the approximate schedule for street closures via the event's site:
Venice:
Pacific Ave at South Venice Blvd. - 6:30AM - 7:15AM
South Venice Blvd. - 6:30AM - 7:30AM
Ocean Ave. - 6:45AM - 7:30AM Marina del Rey/County of Los Angeles:
Via Marina at Admiralty to Washington Blvd. - 6:45AM - 7:30AM
Admiralty Way at Palawan Way - 6:45AM - 8:00AM
Admiralty Way at Bali Way - 6:45AM - 8:00AM
Admiralty Way at Mindanao Way - 6:45AM - 8:30AM
Fiji Way - opens at 8:45AM
Bike Path:
Between Playa del Rey and Marina del Rey - 6:45AM - 8:30AM
Between Imperial Hwy and Ballona Creek - 6:45AM - 9:00AM
Playa del Rey:
Vista del Mar is closed between Culver Blvd. and Grand Ave. - 6:45AM - 11:00AM
Pacific Ave/Trolley Place will be closed from 5:00AM - 12 Noon
El Segundo:
Vista del Mar will have one lane of traffic Grand Ave. and Manhattan Beach between 6:45AM - 10:00AM
