Sunday's Golden Globe Awards To Close Streets, Restrict Parking & Detour Bus Routes

The 69th annual Golden Globe Awards are taking over the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills Sunday evening from 5pm to 8pm, and Angelenos should plan for road closures, bus route changes and street parking restrictions.

Beverly Hills Patch reports the closures and street parking restrictions as follows:

North Santa Monica Boulevard will be closed in both directions between Wilshire Boulevard and Century Park East from about 9 a.m. to midnight.
North Whittier Drive will be closed off at the intersection of Lomitas Avenue and Walden Drive. Trenton Drive at Wilshire Boulevard will also be closed.
Residential street parking will be prohibited from 6 a.m. to midnight on the following roads within proximity to the Beverly Hilton:

*North Whittier Drive
*Trenton Drive
*Carmelita Avenue
*Walden Drive
*Elevado Avenue

Total Traffic LA lists several Metro bus route detours, including 4, 704 and 16.

Line 4/704 eastbound will use the regular route to N. Santa Monica and Century Park West, then continue down S. Santa Monica Blvd (Local Access) to Roxbury, up Roxbury back to Santa Monica Blvd.

Line 4/704 westbound will use the regular route along N. Santa Monica Blvd to Camden, then head left on Bedford to S. Santa Monica Blvd back to N. Santa Monica Blvd.

Line 16 eastbound will use the regular route to N. Santa Monica Blvd and Ave of the Stars. Then it will branch off to S. Santa Monica Blvd, go left at Roxbury and back to N. Santa Monica and the regular route.

Line 16 westbound will take the regular route along N. Santa Monica to Camden, then go left on Bedford to S. Santa Monica and back to N. Santa Monica.
