The Return of Raiders Nation? Team In Talks To Come Back to L.A.

The Raiders were in Los Angeles 1982 to 1994, and they got us the city's only Super Bowl back in '84, so what are the odds the National Football League team will make a comeback in the City of Angels?

So far, it's been just talk, but talks are something, and Raiders owner Mark Davis confirmed they've taken place during a press conference held Tuesday in Oakland, according to the Daily Breeze. Yesterday's public remarks were also the first Davis has made since he took control of the team after the death of his father, Al.

Davis said "his franchise needs a new stadium and L.A. is a potential alternative if a new facility isn't built" in Oakland, to replace the outdated Oakland Coliseum.

And guess what Los Angeles has? Two stadiums on the table, one in the City of Industry and one being built by AEG at L.A. Live in Downtown. So far, though, neither stadium builders have offered Davis a deal for his Raiders that he likes.

There are a few other teams mulling the move to L.A., including the San Diego Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, St. Louis Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars.
