Man's Body Found at Green Waste Facility, Autopsy Pending
An autopsy on the body of a 44-year-old Artesia man found at a "green waste" facility could take place later this week, as the investigation into how he came to be at the site is ongoing, reports CNS.
Authorities have opted to withhold the victim's name, but say that there were no obvious signs of trauma on his body. The body was discovered at around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday at Rainbow Environmental Services, a waste disposal transfer site, in Huntington Beach. The victim's corpse was found when workers unloaded their truck. The site is used as a transfer site for collected "green waste" materials, such as tree clippings and other vegetation.
Detectives with the Huntington Beach Police Department are working to determine how the man died and if foul play was involved.
