1,000 Hours Of 365 Famous Faces Cut To 3 Minutes Of Video
L.A.-based artist David Craig, also known as Meathead, has wrapped his 2011 "Year Book Project" and produced a video compilation of his 365 days of drawn celebrity faces.
In August 2011, Craig told us, "I'm drawing a portrait of a random famous person every day in 2011." On New Year's Eve, Craig emailed us with word of the project's completion. "I finished my Year Book project today, and made a video showcasing each drawing, essentially condensing over a thousand hours of work into about three minutes," he wrote in an email.
Asking Craig how it felt to complete the project, he wrote, "I thought I'd have more of a sense of accomplishment, but it was more of an 'okay, now what?' feeling. So now I'm keeping the project going and trying to think of new directions to explore."
Today's video lunch serves up the famous mugs of Anderson Cooper, Theodore Roosevelt, Peaches, Hillary Clinton and many, many more.
