Texas Toker: Snoop Dogg Busted For Weed By Border Patrol

Snoop Dogg, famous for his pot prowess, was busted this weekend for traveling with marijuana on his tour bus.

Snoop's tour bus was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint in the small West Texas town of Sierra Blanca, according to TMZ. In a reportedly standard border patrol inspection, a drug-sniffing dog uncovered a red prescription bottle in a trashcan containing several joints, totaling under a half-ounce of weed.

Admitting that the joints were his, Snoop has a prescription for medical marijuana in California. Texas, however, enforces a zero tolerance policy for marijuana. Willie Nelson was nabbed for weed in Sierra Blanca in 2010.

This is hardly Snoop's first arrest. NY Daily News says the 40-year-old rapper was "busted for marijuana possession in 1998, 2001, twice in 2006 and 2007, among his numerous other arrests."

The D-O-Double-Gizzle was arrested, issued a citation for misdemeanor drug possession and released. If convicted, Snoop could face up to 180 days in jail.
