Strong winds continue to whip through SoCal today, and the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a high wind warning until Saturday afternoon.

High wind warnings will remain in effect in L.A. and Ventura counties until 3pm today and until 1pm in San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Wind speeds are estimated to reach between 25mph to 45 mph in coastal and valley areas. As usual, mountain areas will be blown by the strongest gusts reaching up to 70mph.

NWS warns that winds may break tree limbs and displace unsecured objects.

Mercury News reports that wind or lightning are the culprits of 2,200 Southlanders losing power in L.A. and Orange counties on Friday. Two rides at Disney's California Adventure were closed due to wind.

Forecasters do not expect another windpocalypse. Whew.
