Drunk Dude Throws a Puppy at Cops Called in To Ask Him to Turn His Music Down

A drunk guy threw his puppy at some cops who came to tell him to turn his music down last night.

The drunk, foul-mouthed, puppy-thrower then attacked the cops, giving one a concussion and the other a broken nose. And that's how a noise disturbance complaint at an apartment building in San Diego escalated into a standoff requiring a SWAT team and the evacuation of his neighbors, according to a local Fox affiliate.

Cops showed up at the apartment of Tyler Torres around 10:44pm last night. After he threw a puppy and a few punches, he ran back inside and refused to come out. He threatened to shoot any cop that tried to come inside. After a two-hour standoff, the cops broke into his apartment and fired pepper-ball rounds at him. He was arrested on suspicion of assault likely to produce great bodily injury and resisting arrest using violence.

His puppy, a 6-month-old Rottweiler, was fine.
