$10K Reward Offered to Help Solve Mysterious Shooting Death of Local Lawyer

Who shot Jeffrey Tidus remains a mystery to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives, who have been working on the puzzling case since the lawyer was gunned down in his own driveway on December 7, 2009. Now the L.A. County Board of Supervisors have approved a $10,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in this unsolved homicide case, reports City News Service.

Tidus, who'd gone out to his car to get his laptop computer, was fatally shot once in the head. Investigators believe he was targeted, however by who remains unclear. The 53-year-old Tidus was with the firm Baute & Tidus, and specialized in civil litigation.

Early in the investigation, detectives explored the possibility that a legal foe may have been behind the murder, however no suspect has ever emerged from an investigation of his professional life. No weapon has been found, either.

Detectives have not indicated if they are pursuing any new leads.
