Geezer Bandit Might Have Been Blasted in Face with Red Ink
The elusive Geezer Bandit, who's been robbing banks throughout Los Angeles, might have recently become more recognizable. He was apparently hit with a spray of red ink that bursts open in stolen money, reports NBC Los Angeles.
The ink is called a dye pack, and it erupts after being triggered by a sensor. It's hidden in packs of money. In addition to dying the robber's face and hands a delightful shade of rouge, it also gives the robber chemical burns.
No one ever said robbing banks was easy.
