Bryan Stow Celebrates Thanksgiving With Family, Looks Healthy
Bryan Stow, the 42-year-old Giants fan who was brutally attacked outside of Dodgers Stadium on March 31, celebrated Thanksgiving with his family and is showing impressive signs of progress.
The family posted on their Support 4 Bryan Stow website, "It has been a long time since our whole family was together on Thanksgiving and we could not feel more thankful and blessed. Our friends Brian and Steve from Los Angeles who are now a part of this growing family, joined us and Bryan for an amazing Thanksgiving dinner."
The accompanying photo shows Stow seated in a wheelchair among his family, spurring a supportive thread of reader comments. One commenter wrote, "Looking good Bryan!" Another supporter posted, "OMG, It is so wonderful to see a picture of you up and about with your family." Jan from San Fran wrote, "I think this is the best photo ever posted by the Stow family."
Stow was released from San Francisco General Hospital in October and moved to a rehab center. He showed significant progress after undergoing shunt surgery to relieve pressure on his brain.
The family posted on November 19 that Stow continues to be dedicated in therapy and "remembers the important things in his life; his children, his family, his friends, his favorite football and baseball teams." The family said Stow sometimes shows confusion, "answering questions wrong or just not knowing the answers."
Stow's family has filed suite against Frank McCourt and the Dodgers and drafted a reasonable settlement. Tom Girardi, Stow's attorney, said damages in the case could total $50 million.
The Dodgers have filed suit against the two suspects charged in the beating - Louie Sanchez, 29, and Marvin Norwood, 30.
