From Farm to Beach: Surfing Goat(ee) Shreds Grover Beach
We knew dogs could surf, but until we witnessed Goatee in action, we had no idea goats were also capable of shredding waves.
Female goat Goatee shredded San Luis Obispo County's Grover Beach on November 10. Her proud owner, Dayna McGregor, explains in today's video lunch how Goatee, a gardener, realized her passion for surfing.
"She did pretty well. She got up on a couple waves..." He corrects himself. "We put her on a couple waves, and she was pretty successful."
We smell a farm animal surf competition in the works...
In other surfing news, Hawaiian surfer Garrett McNamara broke a world record earlier this month when he successfully rode a 90-foot wave in Portugal.
