Skiers and snowboarders, the long-awaited time of year has come to strap on your gear, hit the slopes and brave that frozen white stuff. As of Wednesday, November 23, the three main ski/snowboarding resorts in the San Bernardino Mountains - Bear Mountain, Snow Summit and Snow Valley - will all be open for shredding. Whether you ditch work or wait for the weekend, the openings are certainly something to be thankful for.

Snow Valley, the last of the three main resorts to open, announced today that opening day is tomorrow. The smallest of the trio, Snow Valley is located in Running Springs.

Bear Mountain and Snow Summit are both located in Big Bear Lake and owned by the same company. Lift tickets for either resort are interchangeable.
