Transgender Woman Murdered Was A Known Prostitute, Suspect Still At Large

The transgender woman shot and killed in Hollywood on Thursday night has been identified as a street prostitute who prefered the name Cassidy Vickers. The victim was reportedly shot in the chest around 9:55pm on Lexington Avenue and Gower Street.

A separate Thursday incident involving the same suspect occurred in West Hollywood at 10:25pm. A transgender woman was shot at during an attempted robbery within Plummer Park. The suspect fired at the victim once with a black semi-automatic pistol during the robbery. The victim survived the attack unharmed.

The suspect is described in a LAPD release as "Male/Black, 5'9"/150, mid 20's-30, medium complexion, light facial hair, skin tags around eyes, matted hair, possible transient; possibly riding bike, knit cap with 1"-2" wide bill." He is considered armed and dangerous.
