Man Sets Himself on Fire in Glassell Park
A 42-year-old man set himself ablaze on Tuesday night in the Glassell Park neighborhood and remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
L.A. police officers spotted the man around 9pm on the sidewalk at 3225 Fletcher Drive near North San Fernando Road. Officers attempted to extinguish the flames, then called fire and paramedic units to assist in the rescue.
Investigators do not believe that the unidentified man has ties to the incident location. His motive remains unclear.
