Soft Swells Knocks & Rocks Laurel Canyon Living Rooms

Inviting Laurel Canyon residents, some of whom with their front doors already open, were recently serenaded via Knock & Rock, a web series experience bringing bands to living rooms. Says the K&R website, "bands go door to door trying to convince strangers to let them play a few songs in their house..."

L.A. duo Soft Swells knocked and acoustically rocked the homes of Laurel Canyon homeowners in October. Today's video lunch serves up the footage of their performances.

Here Soft Swells performs "Don't Cut it Off" for a blithe 40-year-old woman clad in goggles, a bandana and yellow kitchen gloves in what appears to be a room undergoing renovation.

Checkout the Knock & Rock website for two additional Soft Swells performances. "Lifeboats" is enjoyed by a father, his two young daughters, their pet fish and a dog, and a man who says he loves music invites the group in to play "Every Little Thing."

We're digging their sound. What do you think, L.A.?

The Knock & Rock YouTube channel also houses videos of TS and the Past Haunts invading Echo Park, Like Cousins entertaining Silver Lake, Escalator Hill jamming in Atwater Village and Miracle Parade taking Los Feliz.
