Man Claims Kidnappers Tortured Him With Hammer and Fork
A San Luis Obispo County kidnapping victim has been released from the hospital following treatment for injuries he says he sustained while he was held for several days inside a home and tortured with a hammer and fork.
The victim contacted local authorities following his escape from the home in the community of California Valley on Friday, November 11. Investigators went to the residence at which the man said he had been held captive, according to KSBY.
So far, two arrests have been made. Phillip Clyde Williams was arrested the following day on an outstanding warrant "when he returned to the house in question, according to the [police] report," notes L.A. Now. Williams could face additional charges in conjunction with the alleged kidnap and torture. 42-year-old Daniel Andrew Zeller was arrested Monday and "booked for investigation of torture, among other crimes, according to jail records."
Information about why the victim was allegedly held against his will or just how the fork and hammer were used as torture devices has not been made available.
