Shaken & Stirred: SoCal's Finest Female Bartenders Compete for Miss Speed Rack L.A.

Eighteen of SoCal's best female bartenders will descend upon the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel this Sunday to compete in a bartending bonanza. Drinks will be shaken, stirred and poured by the able hands of licensed libation ladies, all in the spirit of battling breast cancer.

Sunday's contest serves as a west coast stop along the Speed Rack National Tour. A team of local judges - Jessica Gelt, Ted Haigh, Hollis Bulleit and Aidan Demarest - will rate the pouring pros on speed and accuracy. The winner will be named Miss Speed Rack L.A.

The competition begins at 3pm and wraps at 7pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 (cash) at the door. Guests can also opt for the $35 option, which grants admission plus a Speed Rack t-shirt and a free koozie. Now, we don't know about you, but we love koozies. Said bonus is reason enough to head to the Roosevelt on Sunday. A third payment option is a donation. Along with your ticket comes complimentary punches, cocktails, mocktails, beer from Abita Brewery and food.

All proceeds benefit breast cancer research, education and prevention.
