Police Search For Suspect in Hit-and-Run That Seriously Injured USC Student

Police are looking for the suspect who hit a USC motorcyclist last night and took off without offering any help.

The 21-year-old USC student was driving on a motorcycle through the intersection at Vermont and Lexington Avenue around 6:40 p.m., when the motorcycle collided with a van. The student was badly injured with broken bones and rushed to the hospital.

The suspect was driving a burgundy, 1993 GMC Safari van with the license plate 4MYH882, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. He is described as a 35- to 45-year-old Hispanic male, standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 170 to 190 pounds. He took off on Lexington Avenue, heading west.
