Michael Jackson's Family Wants MSNBC to Yank Documentary on Conrad Murray
Michael Jackson's family isn't happy with MSNBC's decision to air a documentary on the relationship between Jackson and his doctor Conrad Murray "Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Friendship."
Although Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of the pop star this week, Michael Jackson's estate complains in a letter to MSNBC that the documentary is an attempt to shift the blame back to Jackson "even though a jury considered the evidence and rejected this very argument."
The estate is asking MSNBC to yank the documentary, which it plans to air Friday and Monday night, according to the Los Angeles Times. The cable company bought the documentary from a British production company that took a "behind-the-scenes" look at Murray's legal defense over two years. It says that it paid $1 for access and did not contribute to his legal fees.
Michael Jackson fans are up in arms as well, and some fans on Facebook said they plan to boycott the documentary.
