Two 14-Year-Old Girls Hit by Car, Both Severely Injured
Two 14-year-old girls were struck by a car while walking on a crosswalk near Gladstone High School in Covina this morning. The teens were seriously injured.
A woman, about 30-years-old, hit both teenagers shortly before 7am with her Honda Civic. She told investigators that she did not see the girls.
The driver was reportedly traveling at about 30mph when she struck the victims. They both suffered major blunt force trauma injuries and were transported to L.A. County-USC Medical Center via helicopter.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
